Congressman Collin Peterson (D-MN) to Address PHCC Legislative Conference. Congressman Collin Peterson will join Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) at the upcoming 2015 Legislative Conference next month.  Both will speak at the legislative breakfast on Capitol Hill.  Congressman Peterson is a senior Member of the House of Representatives, and received the 2014 National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) “Guardian of Small Business” award for his outstanding voting record on behalf of America’s small-business owners.  NFIB is the nation’s leading small business association.  Congresswoman Foxx regularly attends the PHCC Legislative Reception and works closely with PHCC of North Carolina.

Keynote Speakers at PHCC Convention. Those attending the 2015 PHCC Convention will hear two amazing keynote speakers.  Doc Hendley is the founder of Wine to Water and will share his gripping story about braving tribal warfare and natural  disasters to provide clean water to people in far-flung regions of the world.  His presentation is sponsored by Viega.  Carey Lohrenz, is the U.S. Navy’s first female F-14 fighter pilot.  She will translate the lessons she learned at Mach 2 to challenges in business, customer evolution and the importance of adaptability.  Ms. Lohrenz is sponsored by Kohler.   To register for the convention click here.

Farewell to a Friend.  PHCC friend Dr. Winslow Sargeant has left his post as Chief Counsel for Advocacy at the U.S. Small Business Administration.  In his role as the advocate for small business, Dr. Sargeant was a true friend to PHCC and a leader in advocating on behalf of small business in the maze of the regulatory process.  PHCC will build a relationship with the acting and future Chief Counsel for Advocacy and we thank Dr. Sargeant for his great service.
