In Memory of Kelly Ceballos

CEO@caphcc.org In Memoriam

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Kelly Ceballos after battling with metastatic breast cancer for nearly 2 years. Kelly leaves behind her husband Michael and three children, including 1 ½ year-old Apollo.

Kelly joined the PHCC staff team in January 2017 and most recently was the chief operating officer of our Educational Foundation. Kelly was fantastic at networking having built relationships with many organizations and people to advance the goals and visibility of PHCC. Capstones of her career include helping secure a $200K Employment Training Panel grant and the recent landing of $375K CARES relief funding to train those displaced by COVID.

Kelly didn’t know any strangers; she was a light in every room. She made friends easily and had a gift of selling raffle tickets or persuading a donation from just about everyone she met. She had a passion for the construction trades, especially for encouraging middle and high schoolers to embrace a career in plumbing and HVAC/R.

PHCC is a better place because of Kelly and I am a better leader for having worked with her. I am so very proud of our PHCC staff for all they did to support Kelly through her difficult journey as well as to fiercely guard her privacy. No doubt this news this is a shock to many of you; her loss is a tremendous heartache for our team and I ask for your patience and grace as we learn how to navigate our way forward without her.

PHCC of CA Executive Vice President
