In Memoriam – Betty Heesch

CEO@caphcc.org In Memoriam, News for PHCC Members - All

On January 26, 2016
Betty Heesch, Past President of PHCC of Alameda & Contra Costa Counties Auxiliary and PHCC of California Auxiliary,
passed away from kidney and congestive heart failure.

Loving wife and best friend of past PHCC of California President (2000-2001) Chuck Heesch.

Chuck writes:

Betty was proud to be a member and Past President of the women’s PHCC of California Auxiliary division and
actively sought out to bring women back into the group.
She was a tireless promoter of both PHCC of California and PHCC of Alameda & Contra Costa Counties.

Betty worked with our local PHCC of Alameda & Contra Costa Counties’ board of directors to increase the auxiliary membership.
She would announce the benefits of the auxiliary and would actively work at getting our youth signed up for scholarships.

Betty saw the value of working together with the local and state chapter association to increase over all membership.
Because of Betty’s efforts the Alameda Contra Costa group is family friendly association.
Why is this important?
Most of the businesses that belong to the association are family owned and operated.

Betty was also a tireless volunteer.
Chris Bonetti, Executive Manager of PHCC of Alameda & Contra Costa Counties
counted Betty as one of her best friends.
Chris said that Betty would volunteer at every local event,
manning registration, selling raffle tickets, helping set up and tear down… whatever was needed.

She will be greatly missed.
