Cheryl Mosier is elected as the first female President of PHCC of California at PHCC WEST 2022 in Lake Tahoe, NV

Cheryl Mosier of Cable Pipe and Leak Detection in San Diego, CA was elected as PHCC of California’s first female President at PHCC WEST 2022 in Lake Tahoe, CA on May 19, 2022. Mosier has served on the PHCC of California State Board alongside the industry leaders in plumbing-heating-cooling contracting since 2015. Mosier first became active in PHCC of San Diego in 2003 and joined the PHCC of San Diego Board of Directors in 2006. Mosier also served on the National PHCC Auxiliary and served as President in 2014.

Cable Pipe and Leak Detection was established in 1976 by Cheryl’s parents, John and Ann Belus, and specializes in locating underground water leaks, gas leaks, utility locations, sewer inspections, and more. PHCC members for over 35 years, Mosier credits the growth of the family-owned company to membership in PHCC. Per Mosier, ‘The relationships and knowledge that we have gained through the PHCC have helped grow our business to what it is today. PHCC members are licensed plumbers that are well respected in their industry. We have learned so much just by establishing long-term relationships with people in our industry and learning what works for them.’ Mosier also credits PHCC with providing critical updates in legislation and new laws that affect the plumbing-heating-cooling industry.’

Mosier is a huge proponent of industry-related education and cites workforce development as critical to the future of the trade. Per Mosier, ‘It is so important that we bring the information about good jobs in the trades back to junior high and high school programs. There are PHCC locations across the state where a person can obtain a four-year journeyman license through PHCC without student loan debt.’

Cheryl Mosier is the mother of twin sons, Michael a student of University of San Diego and Mark, a Cable Pipe and Leak Detection employee, and loves baseball (Go Padres!), football, traveling but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Mosier is a San Diego State University alumnus.
