When asked for comment, Rodio said, ‘PHCC has served me and my business for over 25 years. Everything we do for PHCC, even our volunteering, serves our industry.  Copper for Kids allows us to do something for our soul, and give back outside of our industry.  It creates ties to the community, and helps children.  How could we not participate?’.

PHCC of the Greater Los Angeles Area Executive Director Sandi Soleta is equally pleased with Rodio’s donation.  Soleta stated, ‘Just as we are helping to improve the future of those in the trades, we want to improve the lives of our future generations with the chance to grow in a loving and nurturing atmosphere.’

Rodio & his wife Lynell have supported the Copper for Kids program from the onset, donating funds & quilts for auction to benefit both Children’s Bureau in Los Angeles, CA & Sierra Forever Families in Sacramento, CA.

Rodio’s donation will be divided equally between Sierra Forever Families in Sacramento, and Children’s Burea in Los Angeles.  Arnie said, ‘Terry Risse (Chairman of the PHCC of California Copper for Kids Committee & CAPHCC Vice President) is the reason Copper for Kids is a state charity.  We appreciate the efforts he’s made in promoting the cause, and want to support him in Sacramento, as well as our local association, PHCC of the Greater Los Angeles Area, and Children’s Bureau.  We are proud of the work done in both of these areas and want to provide them with support.

A member of PHCC since 1990 and a tireless volunteer, Arnie Rodio has served as a Past President of PHCC of California (2008-2009), is an  annual judge of the PHCC of California Apprenticeship Contest in Long Beach, current code chair for the PHCC of California Board of Directors and serves on the uniform plumbing code technical committee and the current chair of the IAPMO swimming pool, spa and hot tub technical committee for IAPMO.  Rodio will serve as Secretary for PHCC National President-Elect Patrick Wallner beginning October 2016.

On behalf of PHCC of California, PHCC of the Greater Los Angeles Area, Sierra Forever Families and Children’s Bureau,  we thank you for your generous support Arnie!
